Your Utility must provision your meter to allow it to communicate with our device.  This is something they can do remotely, using the Utility meter network.  Once the meter is provisioned, it will recognize your particular device when it is powered up and will connect with it wirelessly.  In order to do the provisioning, your Utility requires the MAC Address and Install Code of your device to register it with the meter.  To do so, please contact your Utility with your Utility account number, home address, and MAC and IN numbers from the label on the underside of your device:

Note that if you have purchased your device from the BC Hydro or PPL Electric online store, your meter has already been provisioned automatically when you purchased the device and all you have to do is power up your device.
