Migrating to Rainge
We’re excited to welcome you to Rainge, our new cloud platform and mobile app. Rainge is faster, more reliable, and designed to give you clearer insight into your home’s energy use, with more improvements coming over time.
Upgrading only takes a few minutes. Just follow the steps below.
How to Upgrade to the New App
- Click here to start your upgrade to the new Rainge app.
- When prompted, enter your current username and password, then follow the on-screen steps to migrate your account.

Once devices have been migrated, download the Rainge app using the link provided. You can also find the apps in the links below:

- Log in to the app using your existing username and password.
- That’s it! You should now see live energy data in the app.
FAQs
My EAGLE hasn’t been powered on for a while. Should I do anything before upgrading?
If your EAGLE hasn’t powered up in the past month, plug it in and leave it connected for a few days before upgrading. This allows the device to reconnect and receive any pending updates before migration.
Why am I being asked to switch to Rainge?
Rainge is our new cloud platform and mobile app. It’s faster, more reliable, more secure, and provides full detailed energy history going forward. The older EnergyVUE cloud is being retired.
Do I have to upgrade?
Yes. The EnergyVUE cloud will be retired. After retirement, it will stop receiving new live data. You can upgrade at any time using the simple steps on this page.
How long does the upgrade take?
Most upgrades take 2–3 minutes.
Can I wait until later to upgrade?
EnergyVUE will stop receiving new data after the retirement date. To continue using your device and seeing live data, you must upgrade to Rainge.
What happens to my EnergyVUE account?
When you upgrade, your EnergyVUE account and all historical energy data are fully migrated to Rainge. No data is lost. After retirement, EnergyVUE will stop receiving new data.
What happens if I don’t upgrade?
If you do not upgrade before the EnergyVUE cloud is retired, your EnergyVUE account and historical data will not be migrated to Rainge. After retirement, EnergyVUE will stop receiving new data and your historical data will no longer be accessible.
What if my account login doesn't work?
It may be because your existing password is not secure enough. Try resetting your password to at least 12 characters, containing at least one number, capital letter, lowercase letter, and symbol.
Which devices work with Rainge?
Rainge supports EAGLE 3 and EAGLE-200.
Do I need to reconnect my smart plugs, thermostats, or other devices?
No. These are stored on your EAGLE device and will automatically appear once your EAGLE connects to Rainge.
Will my historical EnergyVUE data move to Rainge?
Yes. Your historical data will be available in Rainge after migration.
Is there still a web portal?
There is no web portal available at this time. Due to customer feedback, we are considering adding a web portal to the new platform. If this is important to you, please fill in the feedback survey.
Is Cloud API access still available?
No. Rainge does not offer Cloud API access.
However, the local API on your EAGLE will continue to work exactly as before.
Can I still edit rules?
Not at this time. Your existing rules will continue to run as they do today, but editing rules is not currently supported in Rainge.
Is device sharing still supported?
Yes, but it works differently in Rainge to improve security and privacy. We’ll update this page with more details as they become available.
Will new features be added to Rainge?
Yes. Rainge is the platform we’ll continue to develop and improve. EnergyVUE will not receive new updates.
The Rainge app doesn’t recognize my EAGLE — what should I do?
Follow the troubleshooting steps linked on this page. If you’re still having trouble, our support team can help.
Will my old EnergyVUE app still work?
Not after the retirement date.
