Migrating to Rainge

We're excited to welcome you to Rainge, our new cloud platform, web portal, and mobile app.

The EnergyVUE cloud is being retired on August 31, 2026. Follow the steps below to migrate.

How to Migrate

Before you start

Check your password. Rainge requires 12 characters or more. If yours is shorter, or you're not sure, go to the EnergyVUE login page and click Forgot password? to set a new one.

Power up your EAGLE. If your EAGLE hasn't been powered on in the past month, plug it in and leave it connected for 48 hours so it can update.

FAQs

My EAGLE hasn't been powered on for a while. Should I do anything before migrating?

If your EAGLE hasn't powered up in the past month, plug it in and leave it connected for 48 hours before migrating. This allows the device to reconnect and receive any pending updates.

Why am I being asked to switch to Rainge?

Rainge is our new cloud platform, web portal, and mobile app. The older EnergyVUE cloud is being retired on August 31, 2026.

Do I have to migrate?

Yes. The EnergyVUE cloud is being retired on August 31, 2026. After that date, the EnergyVUE web portal and app will stop working and your EAGLE will no longer send data to it.

How long does the migration take?

The migration itself takes a few minutes. If your EAGLE hasn't been powered on recently, allow 48 hours beforehand for it to reconnect and update.

Can I wait until later?

The EnergyVUE cloud is retired on August 31, 2026. Because a dormant device needs 48 hours to update first, start by August 28 at the latest.

What happens to my EnergyVUE account?

Your EnergyVUE account and energy history are migrated to Rainge.

What happens if I don't migrate?

Accounts that haven't migrated by August 31, 2026 will be migrated to Rainge automatically. You'll be asked to reset your password the first time you sign in.

We recommend migrating yourself so you can confirm everything works.

What if my account login doesn't work?

Your password may be too short. Rainge requires 12 characters or more. Reset your password on the EnergyVUE login page by selecting Forgot Password? before migrating.

Which devices work with Rainge?

Rainge supports EAGLE 3 and EAGLE-200.

Do I need to reconnect my smart plugs, thermostats, or other devices?

No. These are stored on your EAGLE and will automatically appear once your EAGLE connects to Rainge.

Will my historical EnergyVUE data move to Rainge?

Yes. Your historical data will be available in Rainge after migration.

Is there still a web portal?

Yes. The Rainge web portal is at https://rainge.rainforestcloud.com/#/app. Sign in with your Rainge account.

Is Cloud API access still available?

Rainge does not offer Cloud API access. The local API on your EAGLE is unchanged by the migration.

Can I still edit rules?

Not at this time. Your existing rules will continue to run as they do today, but editing rules is not currently supported in Rainge.

Will new features be added to Rainge?

Yes. Rainge is the platform we'll continue to develop and improve. EnergyVUE will not receive new updates.

The Rainge app doesn't recognize my EAGLE. What should I do?

Follow the troubleshooting steps linked on this page. If you're still having trouble, our support team can help.

Will my old EnergyVUE app still work?

No. The EnergyVUE app and web portal stop working after August 31, 2026.
